Blog vs. "Regular Website"

As opposed to regular websites, blogs focus more on what is written than what is seen. Although many websites have solid content within their stories, the visual stimulation will determine what a reader chooses to read. Blogs seem to me more focused on just the content and encourage a lot of feedback from viewers. Blogs also seem to be in the business of staying fresh. Constant updates and posts influences readers to visit a blog more often then a regular website. Typical websites will have a story at the begining of the day and that will be it. A blog is focused on following a situation or topic and keeping up with breaks and updates with a situation. This whole concept of staying up to date with an event will attract more readers and deter them away from bland websites.
